Paul Myers

Paul Raymond Myers, 92, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was preceded by his wife, Roma Ann Myers; brother, Randolph Myers; and a great granddaughter, Maysie Hambrick.

Mr. Myers was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church. He graduated from William Fleming High School and was a member of the Golden Colonels. For many years he served as a volunteer with the Hollins Rescue Squad. In 1987 he retired from the Norfolk and Western Railroad. Following his retirement he worked as a carrier for the Roanoke Times.

Surviving are his children, Teresa Myers Hambrick (Clifton), Gary Raymond Myers (Karen), Mark Allen Myers (Jennie), and Tamara Sue Myers; grandchildren, Jacob Hambrick (Shanan), Amy Peterson (Derek), Aaron Hambrick (Rob), Melissa Williamson (Chris), Sara Myers, Perry Myers (Tiffany), and Johnnie Myers; great grandchildren, Brad, Wyatt and Travis Hambrick, Charlotte, Juliette, and Emily Peterson, Tyler and Waylan Williamson, Kennedy and Ella Myers, Carleigh and Brantley Myers; brother, Morris (Cotton) Myers (Janice)

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until Noon at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. A private graveside service will follow in Peters Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 540 366 0707
