Paul Odell

Paul Wayne Odell, 75, of Eden, N.C., passed away Thursday morning, October 19, 2023, at home, surrounded, loved, and cared for by his family in the care of Hospice of Rockingham County. The family will have a private service at a later date.

Paul was born April 8, 1948, in Eden, N.C., to the late Nelson Lee Odell and Naomi Lawrence Odell of Eden, N.C. Retired as a crane operator, he loved the lake, boating, fishing, hunting, working on cars, and being with his family and friends. He spent his last few years working on cars with his son Gentry, even enlisting the help of his granddaughter Stacie, and enjoying time with his wife, family, and friends. He especially loved and cherished time with his sister, Cathy (Cat).

Paul is survived by his wife Donna Odell of the home, stepsons Steven Workman of Greensboro, N.C., Gentry McPeak 111 and wife Brittney McPeak of Ridgeway, Va., sister Cathy Parrish (Cat) of Chatham, Va., grandchildren Athena Workman, Stacie Workman, Joseph Workman, Sofia McPeak, Ella McPeak, Natalie Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Naomi Odell, brothers Rodney Odell, Nelson (Buck) Odell, Lee Odell, Clyde Odell, Jerry Odell, and sister Debbie Odell.
