Paul Wade

Paul Jennings Wade 83, of Roanoke, Virgina passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Paul was born in Washington DC on September 28, 1939. He is preceded in death by his father Paul Jules Wade and mother Margorie Jennings Wade both of Washington, DC.

Paul is survived by his children, Paula Wade of Salem, Virginia; his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Karen Wade of Fincastle, Virginia.; Grandsons Silas William Wade of Anchorage, Alaska; and Tyler Cook of Roanoke, Virginia.; Granddaughter Samantha Wohleber; Stepdaughter Jacqueline Wohleber and her husband David Wohleber of Westlake, Ohio. Cousin and best friend Perry Caligan of Salem, Virgina: and many special cousins in Virginia, Maryland and New York. Married to the former Patricia Manor Williams of Salem, and to Janice G. Wade of Summerfield, FL.

As a young man, Paul attended Linton Hall Catholic School in Bristow, Virginia and Andrew Lewis High School in Salem. After graduation, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy from 1958-1963. Paul’s career spanned 32 years in Sales with Norfolk and Western Railway, starting in Roanoke, and taking him to many cities. After retiring in 1995, he enjoyed living at Smith Mountain Lake and later to Summerfield, FL where he enjoyed playing golf, pickle ball and fishing.

A private family memorial will take place on an undisclosed date.
