Paula Kaye Jennings
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our dear sister, Paula Kaye Jennings, on Wednesday, December 28, 2023, in her residence in Pineville, North Carolina, at the tender age of 53.
Born on April 29, 1970, to James Williams and the late Josephine Jennings in Danville, Virginia, Paula Kaye lived a life filled with loving family, friends, Starbucks, traveling, cooking, refurbishing old furniture, and shopping. Always an intellectually curious individual, Paula began her education in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, but transferred to Danville Public Schools in third grade. She finished her secondary education as a 1988 graduate of George Washington High School. Later she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Strayer University in 2004 and her Associate in applied science degree in network engineering from Northern Virginia Community College in 2007.
Focusing her attention on a career in telecommunications, Paula made her way to Verizon Business as a telecom technician in 2000. After almost ten years with Verizon, she sought advancement with Charter Communications in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she became a senior telecom provisioning specialist.
Paula is survived by two sisters: Connie Jennings and Rosetta Logan of Danville, VA; one brother: Derrick Jennings of Rock Hill South, SC; four nieces: Anya, Anastaisa, Aliyana, and Amina Jennings; special friends: Kwami “Mike” Taichi, Rhonda Morton, Victoria Perez, and Wendy Hicks; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
