Pauline Ferris

Pauline Whitt Ferris, 88, of Bonsack, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2025. She enjoyed shopping and traveling. She was the daughter of the late Thomas J and Vaughnie Rea Johnson Whitt. Pauline was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth R. Ferris; siblings, Ruth Andrako, Evangeline Bishop, Edna Pendleton, Shirley Tucker, Theodore Whitt, Thomas Whitt and Barrie Whitt. She is survived by her daughter Susie and son in-law Jeff Reynolds of Salem. One fur baby grandchild, Princess; sisters, Vaughnie Rea Orange of Vinton, Myrtle (Cookie) Seible of Bonsack, and Martha and Bobby Edwards of Troutville; brother, James Whitt of Cloverdale; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held March 8, 2025, at Lotz Vinton Chapel. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Glade Creek Cemetery. The family extends a special thank you to Friendship Salem Terrace, they treated Pauline as family.
