Peggy Joyce Campbell Dalton

Peggy Joyce Campbell Dalton, 86, of Monroe, Virginia passed away on November 9th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on April 11, 1939 to the late Jack Campbell and Lorrine McGann Campbell. She was employed by Sweet Briar College for over 20 years where she worked as a Clerk in their Security Office. Peggy is preceded in death by her stepfather, Wiley N. Colemean, her sons, Kenneth Wayne Dalton Sr., and Donald Ray Dalton. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Kenneth Wayne Dalton Sr., and her great-grandchild, Hudley Hamlett. She is survived by her sons, Roger Lee Dalton (Faye), and James Edward Dalton (Colleen). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Dalton, Brian Dalton (Lauren), and Michelle Harrison, her great-granddaughter, Hannah Pierce, and her great-grandson Cason Dalton, and her great-granddaughter Juliet Dalton and her great-great-grandchildren Oaklynn Spradley and Aurora Spradley. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Amherst Cemetery. Norris Funeral Services – Driskill Chapel is serving the family.
