Peggy Marie Raines,73, of Rocky Mount, Va., died on March 31, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born May 22, 1950, in Virginia, to the late Mary Sue Brim Nowlin and Odell Nowlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Wayne Nowlin.
Peggy worked at Bassett Furniture for 29 years as assistant foreman. She was a devoted parishioner at First Baptist Church of Bassett, where she enjoyed fellowship and praise every Sunday. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
