Peggy Marylue Berrier Hamilton

Mrs. Peggy Marylue Berrier Hamilton, age 83, of Cana, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday June 27, 2024, from Grayson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Independence, Virginia. She was born on March 14, 1941, in Surry County to the late Jack Cleveland Berrier and Rachel Mae Light Berrier. She retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Harold “Pete” Delane Hamilton of the home; her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and LP Thompkins of Woodlawn, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ron Forren of Benson, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Wilburn and Connie Berrier of Mount Airy, NC; special friend, Mary Martin; and by several other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Monday July 1, 2024, at 2:00pm with Rev. Roland McCraw and Rev. Buster Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow the service in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Monday July 1, 2024, one hour prior to the service start. The Hamilton family would like to give a special thank you to all of the members of Oak Ridge Baptist Church for all of the love and support given to them.
