Peggy Pittmon Eanes

Peggy Pittmon Eanes, age 73 of Chatham passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Eanes was born November 27, 1949 in Pittsylvania County to the late Myrtie Dalton Pittmon and the late Joseph Cleveland Pittmon. She was married to Mack C. Eanes, of the residence.

She was the registrar for the Pittsylvania County for over 30 years before her retirement, and attended The Jesus Gathering. She will always be remembered as a kindhearted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Whitlow Harvey (Christopher); one granddaughter, Carrie Collins (Teon Slayton); one grandson, Joshua Collins; two great granddaughters, Aliyah Slayton and Avery Collins; five sisters, Cordie Terry, Betty Davis, Joan Motley, Vickye Pittmon, and Myrtie Giles; two brothers, Vernon Pittmon and John Pittmon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by one sister, Annie Beal, and three brothers, Steve Pittmon, Charlie Pittmon, and Carroll Pittmon.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
