Pete Burchette

Glenn “Pete” Burchette, age 76, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Wythe County Virginia on January 19, 1947 to the late Howard and Gladys Alley Burchette. Left to cherish his memory are sons, Darrell Burchette (Lisa), Todd Burchette (Margaret); grandchild, Hannah Rhodes (Alex); sisters, Dianna Jones, and Mildred Walker; brother, Robert Burchette; the three girls, Joyce King, Callie Nixon, and Lois Rogers. In addition to his parents Mr. Burchette was preceded in death by his wife, Evie France Burchette; sisters, Ann Cox, Linda King, Carol Lineback, brothers, Walter, and Duane Burchette. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Pete King. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor or Mr. Burchette to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. The family will not be receiving friends at Mr. Burchette’s home at this time.
