Peter Clyde “Pete” Hall, 82, of Floyd, went to be with the Lord, July 17, 2025. Pete retired from the Lynchburg Foundry after 37 years of service. He spent time maintaining local family cemeteries, cutting wood for the elderly and family. Pete loved to flat foot and square dance to Bluegrass music. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years and 9 months: Rachel Mullins Hall; daughter: Lena & Douglas (Bucky) Alderman; son: Steven & Edna Hall; daughter: Denise Hall & Son-in-law: Randy Smith; son: Kevin & Brandie Hall; grandchildren: Amanda & Nate Macey, Matthew Hall, Logan Hall, Brandon Smith, Becky Detamore, Phyllis Dalton, Miranda Loftis, JoJo Ortiz; 10 great grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews, beloved dog: Patty. Funeral services will be Monday July 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 20, 2025, from 5 until 7 PM. In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations be made to Williams Cemetery at PO Box 123, Floyd, VA 24091.
