Peter "Pete" Stephen Soffriti

Peter “Pete” Stephen Soffriti, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Danville, VA, on Friday, July 25, 2025. Peter was born on December 29, 1955, he was the son of the late Arrigo “Gus” Soffriti and the late Frances Bledsoe Soffriti. He was married to Kay Murphy Soffriti, who survives, of the residence.

Pete spent over 50 years working at Tuscarora Country Club, where he became a familiar face and steady presence to generations of members and staff. His quiet dedication, quick wit, and willingness to help however he could, left a lasting impact on those around him.

In addition to his wife, Kay, Pete is survived by his children; P.J. Soffriti of Surfside Beach, SC, and Josh Soffriti (Emily) of Danville, VA- both born of his earlier marriage to Cindy Roach; William Snead of the residence; and Melissa Davis of Danville, VA. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Trinity, Alivia, Hailey, and Hannah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James “Jim” Soffriti.

A Memorial Service to honor Pete’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:00pm, at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. The family will receive friends on the same day, one hour prior to the service, from 12-1:00pm, also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.
