Rachel Newton Kelly

Rachel N. Kelly, age 77 of Danville, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Roanoke

Carillion Hospital. Mrs. Kelly was born February 23, 1948, to the late Luther Newton and Myra

Newton. She was married to Clark Kelly. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, her brother, Frank Newton, her brother-in-laws, Hugh “Doc”

Kelly (Joyce) and Larry Kelly (Cindy).

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Newton.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Highland Burial Park.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 1, 2025, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

At other times, the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
