Randel Elwood Martin

Randel Elwood Martin, age 83, of Christiansburg died, Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born in Floyd County, Virginia on March 12, 1942, to the late Doris William and Nina Cole Martin. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Janet Craighead Martin and his brother Kenneth Leon Martin. Randy worked for the Pony Express for 30 years and then Advance Auto Parts for 25 years as a courier. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Gary Guilliams; son, Rod Martin (Debbie Hager); grandchildren, (Special Caregiver) Sean Bennet, Scott Bennet (Cynthia), Trevor Bennet (Melissa), Kevin Martin (Amber), and Allyson Martin; great-grandchildren, Laila, Landon, Kaylin, Gracie, and Lauren; and special friend from first grade, Keith Light. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Piedmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, prior to the service, on Friday, May 23, 2025, at McCoy Funeral Home.
