Raymond Abshire

Raymond Randolph Abshire, 84, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Monday, March 6, 2023. He was born June 7, 1938, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late John Alonzo Abshire and Sally Ramona Dillion Abshire.

Raymond was a dedicated employee of Dupont and retired after eighteen years as a Machine Operator. He was of the Baptist faith, loved farming and working with his farm tractor. He loved hard work. You could find Raymond relaxing by going through his seed catalogs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, John Alonzo Abshire, Jr. and David Gayle Abshire.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Faye Abshire; sons, Michael Ray Abshire and Anthony Lee Abshire.
