Raymond Eugene Witt

Raymond Eugene Witt, 72, of Danville, VA passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at his residence. Raymond was born April 6, 1951, to the late John Milton Witt, Sr. and the late Eva Araminia Toney Witt. He was married to Brenda Faye Brown Witt, who survives, of the residence.

Raymond was a member of Victory Baptist Church and formally a member of Day Spring Baptist Church, where he was active in the bus ministry. He retired from Dan River, Inc. and later from Pizza Hut.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Paul Witt and wife Sandy, and daughter, Pamula Witt Fain and husband Larry, as well as grandchildren, Bethany, Brittany, Trinity, Abby and Austin. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Roxy and siblings Cora, Brenda, Janet Nola and Ernest. Raymond was predeceased by a brother, John Milton Witt, Jr. in addition to his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2023, at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville with Brother Robert Gauldin, Pastor Todd McClure, and Pastor Chad Branch officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville. A visitation of friends will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., also at the West End Chapel of Norris Funeral Services. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence.
