Raymond Horn

Raymond "Dan" Horn, 84, of Hardy went home to be with the Lord, Thursday September 19, 2024.  He was preceded by his parents, Sam and Lillie Horn; sisters, Elizabeth Wertz and Florence Mayhew; and a brother, Melvin Horne.

Mr. Horn was a well known carpenter and home builder.  His many hobbies included bowling, hunting and running his beagles.

Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Yvonne Horn; daughters, Debbie Matherly (Jeff), Tammy Perdue (Damon); sons, Randy Horn (Chris), and Scott Schilling (Kathy); grandson, Jacob Lane Perdue; sisters, Louise Barton, Martha Barger, Joyce Flowers, Estelle Perdue, and Reba Donald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at White Rock Baptist Church 8730 Edwardsville Road Hardy, Va with Pastor Wes Carpenter, Pastor Joe Dillon, and Deacon Roger Lee officiating.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.
