Rebecca Ann Hodges Preston, age 89, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Madeline Hodges; sisters, Francis Broce, Betty Jean Hall, Elise Young, Billie Hodges and Patricia Law. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Alvah D. Preston; son, Donald (Gloria) Preston; grandchildren, Stephanie Preston, Jenny Hodges and William Hodges; sisters, Doris Buckner, Helen (Jimmy) Bennett; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Holley, Phoung Holley, Mary Jo (Ernie) Hubble. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at Fairview Church of the Brethren 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
