Rebecca Ann (Towe) McHone

Mrs. Rebecca Ann Towe McHone, age 77 of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. McHone was born October 24, 1947, in Surry County to the late Harvey and Ruby Inez Collins Towe. Becky was a loving soul who never met a stranger and was always giving and providing for others. She loved all kinds of flowers, cooking for her family and friends. She and Jr. enjoyed going to drag races and spending time together. Mrs. McHone worked for many years for Food Lion then later retired after many years from Rees Clothing Company in Mount Airy. Becky was a loving wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is her husband, Howard Franklin McHone, Jr.; a sister, Linda Towe Pike; two nieces, Amy Pike, Patty McHone; two nephews, Greg Pike, Steven McHone; special cousin, Kim Poindexter; special Aunt Vernell Goins; a very special great nephew, who she adored and treated as her grandchild, Cole Pike. Mrs. McHone was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Inez Collins Towe. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 PM in Mount Airy with Reverend Randy Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
