Rebecca Kent Jackson

Rebecca Jackson, 78, of Reidsville, NC, died on November 9, 2023 at her residence. Rebecca was born August 27, 1945 in Danville, VA to the late Jessie Kent and the late Thelma Coleman Kent. She was married to Lenwood R. Jackson, Sr. Rebecca retired from Dan River Mills, Inc. and later worked as a sitter for Commonwealth Home Health.

She is survived by her children, a daughter, Susan Hutcherson (Richard) of Reidsville, NC and three sons, Lenwood R. Jackson of Danville, Bryan Jackson (Angie) of Dry Fork and Edward Rook (Toni) of Reidsville. Also surviving are two sisters, Linda Compton and Fay Oakes, and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandchild.

A funeral service for Rebecca will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Vandola Baptist Church, Danville, VA, officiated by Rev. Scott Bortz. Interment will follow the funeral service at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA. Prior to the funeral service, the family will receive friends, also at Vandola Baptist Church, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
