Rebecca Lesley Norris

Rebecca Lesley Norris, age 79, of Danville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at SOVAH Health in Danville. Mrs. Norris was born November 8, 1945, in Easley, South Carolina to the late Marilyn Merrill Lesley and the late John Tate Lesley. She was married to Andrew Leon Norris, Jr. who survives, of the residence.

Mrs. Norris was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church, Danville, VA. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She will always be remembered as a person of compassion and love for all those around her. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother that embodied the essence of what a homemaker should be. She will be truly missed by all those who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Andrew Leon Norris, III (Tracey), a daughter, Stephanie Simmons (James), a sister, Jane Pence (Richard), and two brothers, David Lesley (Jane) and Johnny Lesley (Freda), as well as two grandchildren, Becca Simmons and Sophia Norris.

A Graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, officiated by Pastor Jonathan Hillard. A visitation will take place prior to the graveside service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, Danville. At other times they will receive friends and family at the residence.
