Rebecca Sue Thacker

Rebecca Sue Cox Thacker, 63, of Ridgeway passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her home. She was born August 28, 1960, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Wiley Cox and Opaline Ousley Cox.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Foster; brother, Johnny Cox; and grandson, Nathaniel Alexander Lin Thacker.Becky was born and raised in Henry County where she worked for over twenty years at Ridgeway Daytona Mart. She enjoyed spending time at home with her family and friends.Becky is survived by her husband, Clyde Lin Thacker; daughters, Melissa Sue Thacker, and Jennifer Lin Thacker; son, Jonathan Jones, and Clark Hamilton Thacker; sisters, Carolyn Beal, Cindy Spence, and Patricia Cox; brothers, Ronnie Cox and David Burnette; special granddaughter, Abbigale Lin Thacker; grandchildren, Conner Adkins, Christian Crowder, Bradley Crowder, Ethan Crowder, and Mae Everlin Crowder; and nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00-5:00 PM. Burial will be private.
