Regina Lee Hairston

Regina Lee Hairston, 66, departed this life Friday, June 23, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. Regina was born July 10, 1956 to Lawrence Brown and Louvenia Beal Brown. Regina attended Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Regina enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking, and watching the stories. Regina was truly the “Mother of Carver.”

In addition to her father, Regina is survived by her daughters, Lacoma Swanson (Christopher) and Teonna McCall (Anthony); brother, Tony Brown (Pam); grandchildren, Vashti C. Brown and Ja’Mari D. Swanson; and great grandchild, Laith K. Brown.

In addition to her mother, Regina was preceded in death by Dorothy A. Hairston, Addie Mae Hairston, and Emmanuel M. Brown.

A funeral will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Wright Funeral Service chapel at 1:00 PM. A visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service.
