Rhonda Jefferson

Rhonda Jefferson, 60, entered her eternal rest Friday, June 20, 2025, in Danville, Virginia. She was born February 21, 1965, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Frank Allen, Sr. and Margaret Harris Allen.

Rhonda was of the Christian faith and attended Evangelical Holiness Church. She graduated from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, Virginia, and went on to work for the public school system in Norfolk, Henry County, and Pittsylvania County Schools where she was a teacher and a coach for three decades. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Gladiola #194. Rhonda loved coaching basketball and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Some of her favorite pastimes were singing, dancing, and traveling. She had a kind, generous personality and loved to give back to the community. She made a positive impact on the lives of so many people, and she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her loving husband, Timothy Jefferson; daughters, ShaRhonda Allen Malloy (Prince), Ebony Allen (Alicia); sisters, Francine Humphrey (Aaron), Darlene Lawrence (Jeffery), Janice Dixon, Sharon Allen; brother, Frank Allen, Jr.; and three grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service, officiated by Bishop Archie White. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. A floating visitation for extended family and friends will be Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
