Rhonda Mcguire Hylton

Rhonda McGuire Hylton, 59, of Axton, VA passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born in Martinsville VA on July 29, 1966, to the late Ruth Ilene Barker McGuire and Oliver Douglas McGuire.

Mrs. Hylton had a deep love for travel, especially to the mountains and the beach, and was always ready for a new adventure. She was a devoted mother who cherished her family above all else. A lifelong member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, she was also actively involved in her community through the United Way, the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, and the Mustangs Club.

She is survived by her husband, Michael “Mike” Hylton; children, Ilene Hodges (Jeremy), Ruth Coggin, and John O. Hylton; stepchildren, Amanda Hylton, Michael Hylton, and Samuel Hylton; and her brother, George McGuire.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel and other times at the home of her cousin, Cathy Hairfield, 980 Daniel Rd., Axton, VA 24054. Funeral service will be officiated by Pastors Palmer Lowery and Josh Allan on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services. Burial will follow the service at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
