Richard Andrews Reynolds

Mr. Richard Andrew Reynolds Sr, age 68, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born on March 5, 1957 in Forsyth County to the late Curtis and Mary Magdalene Thomas Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds retired from N.C. Foam after 42 years and three days of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Charlie Hayslip Reynolds; son, Richard Reynolds Jr (Jenifer); stepsons; Jon and Christopher Quesenberry; grandchildren, Malori and Austin Reynolds, Jamie, Shane, and Cody Bowman; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony Reynolds, Dennis Reynolds (Vikki); sister-in-law, Sandy Hayslip. In addition to his parents Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Gail Deatherage Reynolds; son, Christopher Reynolds; sister, Kathy Akers. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with service conducted by Rev. Jerry Marsh. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 12:30 PM until time to leave for the graveside service.
