Richard "Barry" Ingram

December 29, 1951 - April 3, 2025

Richard “Barry” Barrington Ingram, aged 73 of Danville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at his residence, while surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Mr. Ingram was born on December 29, 1951, in Danville, Virginia to the late Mildred Hardison Ingram and the late Richard McKinley Ingram. For 55 years he was married to Connie James Ingram, who survives, of the residence. Until his retirement, Mr. Ingram worked as a cut down inspector for Goodyear Tire & Rubber. During his leisure time, he enjoyed golf and bowling, as well as formula 1 racing. His favorite driver was always Michael Schumacher.

In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Ingram is also survived by his two sons, Richard Lee Ingram (Crystal) and Jason Barrington Ingram (Ashley); his two sisters, JoAnne I. Buckner (Ed) and Martha I. Gauldin (Robert); and two brothers, Vic Ingram (Debbie) and David Ingram (Leslie). In addition, he is survived by six grandchildren, Tyler, Preston, Joseph, Austin, Rhianna, and Alice Fay Ingram, as well as three great-grandchildren, Ila Zoe, Thomas, and Landon Ingram. Mr. Ingram is also survived by his four-legged daughter, Luci Gucci; and special neighbors, Mark and Penny Shelton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Judy I. Tate and grandson, Brandon Lee.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Baptist Church, Danville, VA, officiated by Pastor Daniel Custer. A visitation of friends will be held immediately prior to the celebration of life service, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., also at Riverview Baptist Church.
