Richard "Dick" Louis Tlockowski
Richard “Dick” Tlockowski,10/30/1942 – 09/01/2024, passed away peacefully, after a hard fought battle with mesothelioma, never giving up and joking to the very end. He continued to take care of Debbie first, saving a half a sandwich and asking for blankets for her while in the hospital.
Born in Long Island New York, Dick served his country in the United States Air Force, then retiring from the United States Postal Service. He lived for his grandbabies and spoiled them rotten. While most blamed wife Debbie, more often than not, it was Dick that was decorating for Christmas before Halloween. He was a handyman, tell it like it is mentality, with a no filter jokester personality. He loved watching football and golf and working the newspaper crosswords with Deb. He was a sucker for Chick-fil-A vanilla milkshakes. Dick went by many names but two of the main nicknames were “Big Dick” and “Dickster”.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents Walter “Butsy” Tlockowski and Helen Tlockowski. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Tlockowski who he called “Hun”; children Courtney Sink (David), Tiffanie Beckner (Justin), and Kylee Beganovic (Dado); grandchildren who called him Pop, Breanna Obenchain (Corey), Jonathon & Eric Sink, Anthony Tlockowski, Derek Zirkle, Ariana Beganovic, Grayson, Everlie and Owen Beckner; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Griffin Obenchain; siblings Jim Tlockowski (Claire), John Tlockowski (Ingrid), and Walter Tlockowski (Barbara); as well as several in laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews Too numerous to mention.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 2-4 p.m at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
