Richard "Rick" W. Keeling

Richard W. “Rick” Keeling, of Roanoke, VA was born February 27, 1962 and passed on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Rick fulfilled his earthly journey and went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Rick was the loving husband of his wife, Lisa Keeling for 22 years, loving father to their children William Gaige Keeling and Jamie Rebecca Keeling, and grandfather of Liam Gabriel Keeling.

He was also father of Ricky and Ashley Keeling, grandfather of Briauna Keeling, brother of Mike Keeling.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Vernon M. Keeling and his sister Rebecca L. Keeling.

Rick was a loving soul. His faith and his family are what mattered to him most, and his loyal furry companion, his Siberian Husky, “Chance”.

His passion was music, listening, writing, recording, singing, and playing the guitar. His favorite thing was to laugh and make people laugh. He was very playful and loved to have fun. He loved mysteries of all kinds, and things of old. He was a seeker of truth and peace. He was strong, brave, loyal, compassionate, caring, and kind.

Rick would always have your back – no matter what. He was a provider, a protector, and a peacemaker. A true fighter and friend. He was very strong-willed and stood up for what he believed in. He was a light in our lives, that will never go dim.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
