Richard Thomas Slough

March 22, 1955 - May 15, 2025

Richard Thomas "Tom" Slough, 70, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at his residence with his loving wife of over 30 years by his side.

Born on March 22, 1955 in Lexington, he was the son of Mary Jo-Ann Greene Slough and the late Richard David Slough.

He worked for over forty years as a welder and retired from AEROFIN in Lynchburg in June 2021. He was an extremely hard worker and enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing during his spare time. He was raised by his grandmother, Evelyn Greene, who he loved and cherished and she always held a very special place in his heart. Tom never met a stranger that he didn’t like.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted wife, Diane Sinopoli Slough; his children, Richard Stanley Slough, Michael John Slough and Lauren Frances Slough; two brothers, Danny Slough and David Slough; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
