Ricki Bannister Moushegian

Ricki Bannister Moushegian of Salem, Virginia, peacefully left this world on April 17, 2025. At 80 years old, Ricki gracefully and bravely fought a battle with ALS and was granted her wish to be at home until the end surrounded by loving family, friends and caregivers.

Born in 1944 to Henry and Phyllis Bannister, Ricki grew up in Lindsay, California with her brother, Rod. In 1966, she married Steve Moushegian and eventually settled back in Salem, Virginia in the family home on North Broad Street.

Ricki is survived by her three children, Jeff (Tammy) Moushegian and his three children, Alex, Blake and Brad; Christie Moushegian (Michael) Shaps and her two children, Ellie and Katie; Suzi Moushegian and her son, Andy.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son in Salem, Virginia. A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
