Rickie Wayne Surber
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing away of Rickie Wayne Surber, 59, originally of Salem, and most recently of Shawsville on Friday April 14, 2023.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rebecca Crockett Surber; parents, Breece and Brenda Surber; children, Brad Surber and Kayla (Adam) Booth; stepchildren, Darren (Crystal) Crockett, Amanda Glass, and Kayla (Will) Lilly; as well as his sister, Sandy (Reid) Smith, and numerous other close family members and friends.
He will continue on through the lives of his precious grandchildren: Elise, Abel, and Henry Booth, and Mia Wagner, and Karen Lilly.
Rickie was known for his kind heart and his love for being outdoors. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. His love of serving others was displayed through his personal business, Rick’s Plumbing, for over 30 years, and all the other “handy-man” jobs he performed. However, his favorite endeavor was free-riding his Harley Davidson. He was not always the most talkative, but he was also the life of every party, bonfire, or get together.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday April 18, 2023 from 6-8pm at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 2pm. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
