Ricky Lee Wilson

Ricky Lee Wilson, 60, of Ringgold, VA passed away at Novant Health Forsyth Center in Winston Salem on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Ricky was born on August 31, 1963, in Danville, VA. He was the son of the late Sadie Louise Maxey Lewis and the late Harry Wayne Wilson.

Ricky is survived by his son, Christopher Wilson; his daughter, Samantha Barrett; his sister, Tina Browning; his daughter-in-law Destinee Wilson; his son-in-law Ron Barrett; he is also survived by his grandchildren, Ava, Hadleigh, Braylee, and Elijah.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Wilson.

Ricky was a hard working, honest, consistent man that spent more than 40 years working under many hats for well known Philip Daly, the founder of Daly Seven, Innkeeper Hotels, D & K Construction, and Danville Memorial Gardens.

In the last several years, Ricky thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren while having the opportunity to live out his extended work vacation on Bald Head Island, NC and the surrounding beaches. Ricky also made way to live out the dream of riding motorcycles that he spent most of his life not knowing he loved.

A funeral service will be held on January 25, 2024 at 6:00pm at Norris West End Chapel, Danville, VA with Reverend Joey Bray officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service on the same day from 5-6:00pm also at Norris West End Chapel, Danville, VA. A private interment will be held at Danville Memorial Gardens at a later date.
