Ricky Wayne Carter

Ricky Wayne Carter, 68, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1955, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late George Elmer Carter Jr. and the late Mary Board Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gertie Moore, and two brothers, Dennis Ashwell, and Bill Akins

Ricky loved being on the water; he could be found kayaking and trout fishing. He was a lover of motorcycles. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

Ricky is survived by his stepson Doug Decker (Samatha); stepdaughter Renee Decker (Mike); six stepchildren grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Shyann, Caleb, Olivia, and Lilian; one brother, Jeff Carter; and a host of other family and friends.
