Rita Fae Wilson Thornton

Rita Fae Wilson Thornton, age 81 of Radford passed away Tuesday morning July 18, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. Born December 17, 1941 in Pulaski County she was the daughter of the late Charlie Harvey Wilson & Ethel Sylvis Flinchum Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Darlene Wilson, Sandra Wilson and brother, Alvin Wilson.

Husband of 56 years– Harold “Winston” Thornton – Radford

Son– Harold Thornton, JR. – Radford

Brothers– Wilfred Wilson – Dublin, Steve Wilson – Christiansburg

Sister– Wanda Wingo – Christiansburg

Special Friends– Barbara Wilson and Debbie Shelburne

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski

with Chaplain Robbie Vance officiating. Interment will follow at the Wilson-Grove Cemetery (Gum Log Road - Snowville).

The family will receive friends Friday one hour before service time at the Funeral Home.
