Rita Louise Giles

Rita Louise Giles, 69, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Rita was born in Burlington, NC on November 27, 1955 to the late Luther Giles Sr. and Virginia Dalton Giles.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Luther Giles Jr., Jerry Giles, Eugene Giles, and Audrey Robinson. She is survived by her last sibling, Lydia Gibson and many nieces and nephews. She had a special niece that is a nurse at Roman Eagle. Allison gave her much comfort there and brought her boys to visit often. This was joyful for Rita as she loved children and had none of her own. Rita had a spirited personality and loved her jewelry and make-up. She fondly called her friends and family “suga”. She loved to laugh and carry on with whomever would visit her. She lived most of her life with mental disorders, and would apologize for being sick. Rita knew Jesus and knew of heaven. She will be very missed and is with her family in glory.

No Formal Services are planned at this time. The immediate family will have a private service at a later date.
