Robert A. Kolar

Robert A. Kolar Sr., 80, of Roanoke passed away at his residence on December 6, 2023.

A native of Ohio he was the husband of 33 years to Yang S. Kolar, who survives, and the son of Robert Anthony Kolar and Teresa Kolar, both deceased. He served his county in the United States Army. Robert worked as a Special Agent with the White House for many years and later retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League of America in Boones Mill.

In addition to his wife those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Robert Anothony Kolar, Jr. and wife Sherry and David Wayne Kolar and wife Denise; his grandson, Tyler Kolar; his granddaughter, Salem Kolar; two sisters; and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
