Robert "Bob" Eugene Temple

Robert “Bob” Eugene Temple, age 84 of Wirtz passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Pauline Steiner Temple. Surviving are his wife of 61 years in September, Mary Ann Temple; children, Tim (Dawn) Temple, Lisa Temple and Laura Saxton; grandchildren, Karissa (Ivan) Gonzales, Ty Temple and Heather Grace Temple; great-grandchildren, Noel and Layla Gonzales; two sisters, Carolyn Temple and Sharon Lodge; and many nieces and nephews. Bob served in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer. He owned Bob’s Home Repair for 25 years serving the Smith Mountain Lake area, but as Bob like to put it, he was “all over the map.” Bob was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Creamtion Center, Rocky Mount/Smith Mountain Lake.
