Robert Bradley

Mr. Robert Charles Bradley, age 62, of Covington, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Bradley was born September 7, 1961 in Covington, the son of the late Ivan Hobert Bradley and Billie Gabbard Bradley. A lifetime resident of this community, he was a graduate of Alleghany High School, Class of 1982. Robert had been employed as a member of the Alleghany County Parks and Recreation Department. Mr. Bradley was of the Baptist faith. Robert enjoyed watching and participating in any kind of sports and was a longtime coach and umpire for the Covington Little League. He was an avid University of Virginia and Washington Redskins fan. Mr. Bradley was a member of the Covington Moose Lodge #610 Loyal Order of the Moose. In his spare time, Robert loved dancing and enjoyed talking and being with people.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his son, Austin Michael Holbert Bradley; his daughter, Tara Lynn Bradley(Chase Walton); three grandchildren, Isaac Rayhill Walton, Everleigh Christine Walton and Daniel Logan Walton; his fiancée, Lisa Gladwell of Ronceverte; his brother, Jimmy Mundy; four sisters, Frances Bradley Buchanan, Betty Bradley Calande of Enterprise, AL; Bobbie Bradley Charles of Covington and Susan Bradley Fridley of Covington; a sister-in-law, Laura Bradley of Covington; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Bradley; his brother, John Carson Bradley; and the mother of his children, Sharon May Bradley
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 18, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
It is Robert's request that all of those attending his funeral service, please wear casual clothing particularly their favorite sports shirt and blue jeans.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Kirby, Steve Church, Trent Martin, Jeff Martin, Brandon Dobson and Chase Walton. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Dobson and J.K. Kershner.
The family will receive their friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
