Robert Craig Mustard

ROBERT CRAIG (“BOB”) MUSTARD, 87, of the Mechanicsburg community of Bland, VA, died Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his home. He was born in Mechanicsburg on August 29, 1936, the son of the late Elwood & Irene Mustard.

Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a lineman and later retired from the Radford Arsenal after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Bland Lodge #206, AF & AM, for 50+ years. He enjoyed being outdoors and enjoyed hunting. In his later years, Bob enjoyed riding around the community and keeping up with his friends and neighbors. 

Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Eleanor Roop Mustard and his parents, Wayne Elwood & Irene Walker Mustard. 

He is survived by his son, Allen Mustard; his daughter & son-in-law, Paula & Calvin Davis; his grandsons, Granger Davis and Orion Mustard; two brothers, Jack Mustard and Mike Mustard and many nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Brian Consley officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery where Masonic Funeral Rites will be provided by the Bland Lodge #206, AF & AM.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until service time, 2:00 P.M.
