Robert Crush

Mr. Robert Edwin "Bobby" Crush, Jr., age 82, of Covington, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Brian Center, Low Moor. He was the husband of the late Wynona Walthall Hawkins Crush and the late Regina T. Bryan.
Mr. Crush was born August 14, 1942 in Oriskany, the son of the late Robert Edwin Crush, Sr. and Bethel Smith Crush. He served his country as a member of the United States Army. Bobby had been employed as a slitter operator by the former Hercules for fifteen years and was a Powhatan Correctional Officer for twenty years. Mr. Crush was a member of First Christian Church. He was also a member of the Covington Moose Lodge #610 L.O.O.M. In his spare time, Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing but most all he loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Crush is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Anne Crush of Low Moor; a brother, Mark Crush and wife, Debbie of Vinton; two sisters, Peggy Abell of Baltimore and Linda Crush Ellis and husband, Whitman of Covington; a number of nieces and nephews; his special friend, Georgia Wilmer; and his special cat, Pretty Boy.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 10, 2025, at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.
Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 12:15 P.M.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
