Robert E. Lee Clark

Robert E. Lee Clark, 84, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1941, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Moses A. Clark and Fannie Turner Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dewey Clark, Eddie Clark, John Clark, and Joseph Clark; nine sisters, Odell Underwood, Edna Lawson, Bertha Mize, Christine Foley, Lucinda Clark, Betty Clark, Mattie Deal, Mozelle Stone, and Nellie Cassell.

Robert was a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church, where he cherished worshipping the Lord. He found great joy in working and keeping his hands active. During his free time, he found peace in the simple pleasures of fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Gilley Clark; three children, Michael Clark (Tammy), Robert Wayne Clark (Rhonda), and Kennie Ray Clark; five grandchildren; one niece; and one sister, Alene Wilson.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor David Towler officiating. The visitation will follow one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow Roselawn Burial Park.
