Robert Gordon Beckner

Robert Gordon Beckner, Mr. Beck, age 77, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Resurrection Sunday, April 5th, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Beckner, father, James Beckner, grandson, AJ Bryson and nephew, Chris Beckner.

Robert is survived by his wife, Rita Beckner; daughter, Mary Anne Bryson and Jeremiah Bryson; daughter, Penny Kaye Lytton and Jon Lytton; sister, Mary Akers(Roger); brothers, JD Beckner(Deborah) and Danny Beckner(Christie); grandchildren, Alli Dobbins(Corey), Alex Bryson(Alyson) and Izzy Lytton; six great grandchildren; and several nieces/nephews, and brothers and sisters in law that were all very dear to him.

Mr. Beck never met a stranger, loved life and was a friend to all.

We would like to give a big thanks to ACG Hospice and a special niece, Kaitlyn Wade for all the love and care they gave to Robert.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 9th at Belmont Christian Church, 1500 Peppers Ferry Road NW, Christiansburg, Va 24073. Visitation from 4-6 with the service directly following at 6. A private graveside service will be at a later date.
