Robert Lester Chapman

Robert Lester Chapman, 90, of Martinsville passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was born to the late Lewis Paul Chapman and Louise Sandefur Chapman.

Robert was a member of First United Methodist Church in Martinsville, VA.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fentress Chapman; daughter, Elizabeth Lester Chapman; son, Greg Sandefur Chapman and grandchild, Connor Brooks McKeithan; and his furry best friend, Gunner. He is also survived by a large extended family including cousins Al Hicks (Jane) and Mary Frances Theobald; sisters-in-law, Janet Fentress and Mary Anne Matherly (Mike), brother-in-law, Stewart Fentress (Cindy); nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2 pm at First United Methodist Church, 146 E. Main Street, Martinsville, VA.

Norris Funeral Services is handling the services for the Chapman family.
