Robert Lindbergh Hamlett

Robert Lindbergh Hamlett, Jr., 74, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away, Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home. He way born January 17, 1951, in Halifax County, Virginia, to the late Robert Lindbergh Hamlett, Sr. and Ada Lee Childs Hamlett.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Hallie Belle Hamlett; brothers, Samuel Kester Hamlett, Thomas “Monk” Lee Hamlett, Daniel Webster Hamlett, and Charles Hamlett.

Robert spent many years of his life working on the farm as a farmhand, where he learned a wide range of skills and appreciation for hard work. He attended Halifax County schools and was a man who truly enjoyed the outdoors. In his free time, he also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and just spending time in nature, and watching old westerns. Robert deeply loved his family and cherished his time with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Paula Anderson Hamlett; daughter, Christina Hamlett; son, Robert Hamlett, III; sister, Viola Hamlett; and four grandchildren, Xavier O’Shane Myers, III, Elijah Lin Myers, Tristian Lee Myers and Elizabeth Brianna- Ann Harvey.

All Services will be private.
