Robert Maxwell Thomas

Robert “Mac” Maxwell Thomas, 70, of Roanoke, went home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Cliff and Kathleen Greer & Roy and Betty Thomas; and brother, Roy Thomas.

Mac is survived by his daughters, Missy Plaster (Ron) and Angie Emswiller; son, Duane Thomas (Mary Ann); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren including his “Squirt”; and his brother from another mother, Jeff Yates (Chrissy).

He was affectionately known as “Mac”. He was gentle, but strong at heart. He was heavy with emotions when he felt the time was right. He had a love of life, his truck, and his dogs and cats. He was for sure the bravest and strongest “Daddy/Paw Paw” you would ever know. His compassion for making sure everyone was ok and taken care of was outstanding. He braved the battle and fought strongly and made sure he did it his way. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
