Robert Michael Jackson

Robert Michael Jackson “Bobby”, 58, of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 23, 2024. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Michaelangelo Zipparo and Carmela Calderone Zipparo; uncle, Jack Zipparo; and grandparents, Byrd and Othelda Jackson.

Bobby was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a Southerner with Yankee ingenuity. Bobby was a devoted son, brother and father who had an infectious personality and a true rebel spirit, who was passionate about life, painting, antiques (an original “American Picker”), knives, and guns. He loved to read, explore, grill, and be outdoors with family and friends. He worked hard and loved harder. He was the only one who could make his mother laugh, even when she was crying.

Bobby is survived by his parents, Bobby and Clementina Jackson; brother, Eric Dean Jackson (Charity); children, Larissa Jackson Young (Craig) and Robert Jackson (Cassidy); grandchildren, Robert Conner, Landon Jackson, and Sadie Jackson; niece, Gracie Lane Jackson; step daughters, Amber Cooper (Brian) and Penny Walker; best friend, Steve Shelor“Shilo”, and many other family and friends.

The family will have a Visitation on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019.
