Robin Rebecca Scales

Robin Rebecca Scales, 66, of Martinsville, Virginia, entered her eternal rest with her Savior on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on October 7, 1958, in Martinsville to the late Clem Hairston, Jr. and Rebecca (Hairston) Hairston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sandra Price and Koy Martin, and brother, Timothy Hairston.

Robin was of the Christian faith and loved her Savior; she was a member of St. Paul High Street Baptist Church where she found a loving faith community. She graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1977 and entered the workforce in the sewing department of Tultex where she was employed for 20 years. Robin was a woman who demonstrated a strong work ethic and enjoyed her job with Door Dash. She invested time with her family, making memories with her grandchildren and pouring her heart into everyone she loved. She enjoyed shopping, trips to the beach, listening to music and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. Her legacy of love and faith will forever be imprinted on the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Shawnte Dillard, Shanae Wilson (Pervis), Shabria Dillard; sisters, Bonnie Penn (Frank), Mable Hairston; brothers, Alphonzo Hairston (Stephanie), and Rodney Keith Hairston; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Monday, September 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM at St. Paul High Street Baptist Church located at 401 Fayette St, Martinsville, VA, United States, Virginia, with Rev. Thomas Divens officiating. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one-half hour prior to the service. Family will receive friends and extended family at other times at 816 Olympia Street, Martinsville, Virginia.
