Roderic "Pinky" White

Roderick “Pinky” White, 58, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024. He was born October 19, 1965, Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Willis Henry Via and Mildred White.He was a member of Mayo Missionary Baptist Church and was a dedicated employee of Tultex for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed singing, football, basketball and reading books. Roderick was affectionately known by other athletes as “Bread Truck”.Roderick is survived by daughter, Kiara White; son, Jerrod White; sister, Lisa Bowens; and brothers, Randy Via and Tim Witcher; and a host of other relatives and loved ones.The funeral will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Mayo Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight Mack officiating. Burial will follow at Mayo Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 3354 Horsepasture Price Road, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148.
