Roger Dale Smith

Roger Dale Smith, 69, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 18, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Judy Smith; brother, Mark Smith; and beloved wife, Bonnie Smith.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Deanna “Dee” Humphries and husband Mickey; sons, Scotty Smith and Dean-o Smith and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Lilly Cox and Phoenix Humpries; siblings, Richie Smith, David Smith and wife Susan, Jon Smith and wife Etta, Randy Smith and wife Shirley, Sandi Casella and husband Brian, and Carl Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was a graduate of William Fleming High School and a proud veteran of the United States Marines.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2204, at 3 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel with Pastor Rick Via officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
